Observability

Datadog with Osquare

Datadog, sized, implemented and run by people who build software. Licensed through Osquare, invoiced in India.

01  /  Why through a partner

The licence is the easy part. Sizing it, reading it and paying for it are not.

Datadog is sold direct and through approved resellers. Osquare is a member of the Datadog Partner Network, onboarding as a solution provider for India. Buying through us puts the sizing, the implementation and the paperwork with one company, in your own time zone.

i.

One contract.

One order form, one invoice, one company to chase. The Datadog org is yours, the data is yours, the admin rights are yours. We sit on the paperwork, not in the middle of your platform.

ii.

Sized before you sign.

Hosts, containers, log volume, spans and RUM sessions counted first, then modelled. You see the shape of the commitment before you make it, and we say so when a smaller commit is the right one.

iii.

Someone to call in your hours.

First and second line support from Osquare, Monday to Friday in IST. Anything that belongs with Datadog we escalate under your Datadog agreement.

02  /  What we do

Six things, from the first estimate to the quarterly bill review.

The licence is the smallest part of the work. Most of the value sits in the first ninety days, and in the review that happens every quarter after that. Another partner will hand you a login. We stay for the part where the dashboards have to be worth opening.

  • 01
Assess and sizeWe count what you actually run: hosts, containers, services, log volume, traces and sessions. You get an estimate and an indexing plan before anything is signed.
  • 02
Implement and migrateAgents, integrations and pipelines installed properly. Migrations from New Relic, Dynatrace, Splunk, ELK or Grafana, with OpenTelemetry first so your instrumentation stays portable.
  • 03
Design the signalDashboards people actually read. Alerts that mean something, SLOs the business agrees with, on-call rotas and runbooks written for the person woken at three in the morning. This is where a design studio earns its keep.
  • 04
Automate the responseWorkflow Automation for the fix you keep repeating, App Builder for the internal tool nobody wants to build, and Bits AI where an agent can triage before a human has to.
  • 05
Govern the costAn indexing strategy, Observability Pipelines to drop what you do not need, Cloud Cost Management for the bill underneath, commit against on-demand advice, and a review every quarter.
  • 06
License and supportOne contract and one invoice, raised in India with GST. Renewal support, Customer Pricing visible inside your own Datadog org, and first and second line support in IST with escalation to Datadog under your agreement.

04  /  How an engagement runs

Four steps. Each one earns the next.

You can stop after any of them. Nothing here needs a two-year plan to be worth doing.

01

Assessment

We map what you run, what you monitor today, what it costs you, and what you cannot see. You end with a sizing, an indexing plan and a number you can take to finance.

2 weeks
02

Pilot on one service

One service, instrumented properly, with its dashboards, alerts and SLOs. Small enough to argue with, real enough to settle the argument.

4 weeks
03

Rollout and migration

The rest of the estate, service by service. The old tool keeps running until the new one is trusted, and we turn it off with you, not for you.

6 to 12 weeks
04

Run and govern

Support in IST, changes as your estate changes, and a cost review every quarter so what you pay still matches what you use.

Ongoing · quarterly cost review
Contact

Tell us what you are running, and what you are paying for it today.

A thirty-minute call. We will tell you whether Datadog is the right answer for your estate, and what it takes to run it properly. If it is not the right answer, we will say that too.

ResponseWithin one working day

Bring a rough count of hosts, services, log volume and your current tool. Thirty minutes is enough for a first sizing.
